Neighborhood Bar the way it should be!
On a busy night about half of the Bar is Regulers and they are very welcoming to people who are there for the first time.
The staff is first class all the way!
Bar style menu plus salads, Philly Steaks,
Chicken Livers and more.
Great Beer Garden with bags games.
I feel so lucky to have to the Western Tap in my Neighborhood as it is the last of the Great Real Neighborhood Bars! -

Excellent shrimp basket- love the cocktail sauce. Service was excellent - thank you Sara! the chicken gizzards were awesome and not something you can find very often. Another great bar/grill to experience on our vacation - Thanks!

We stopped here on our way through Illinois to play a couple games of pool and grab a drink. We ended up getting some wings, which were awesome, and having 6 beers. When it was time for the bill we were pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it was. The bar area was much larger than expected and even though it was pretty busy we never felt crammed. The cook was friendly, bartender very attentive, and overall atmosphere was right up our alley.

Some of the best burgers in town! Good wings too. I have only been there at lunchtime! Not sure of the evening crowd, but lunch here is great. One of the oldest buildings in Bloomington, I do believe.

How do places like this stay in business??!!? We gave this place another shot. It's on our side of town, and once again we experienced very poor service. With 8 parties sitting at tables inside, 6 people at the bar, both pool tables occupied, and a few more parties outside there was ONE person serving at dinner time. Food was very slow. Got one beer in the time they could have sold me 3 or 4. How can an owner not realize what only hiring one server for a shift is costing in lost sales? Salty burger, salty fries, salty fried mushrooms, combined with horribly understaffed service is a recipe for lost profits and lost business. Jeez, if you're having troubles hiring servers, pay a few bucks more and get people in there. The additional beers they could have sold me in our two+ hours visit would have paid for another server by themselves. It's pitiful the owners have such low regard for their customers. At some point, being the only food in the neighborhood is not going to be enough to keep the doors open. This place could be so much better.
